Stage 1 of survival training and 3 long emails later...

Hey everybody,

I just got back from a camping trip, which was really a refresher course of sorts for me. Many moons ago in my lower secondary school days, I was an avid scout and used to enjoy torturing myself silly living on minimal food and sleepless nights in the forest. In an ironic decision, I decided to 'torture' myself by going camping despite the fact that I have had minimal sleep over the previous week tryign to catch up with lost time. I never thought it would be 'tough' yet I never thought 'tough' was also surprisingly easy. Once again, many times I thought to myself... "This too shall pass."

To summarise what I learnt while camping:
In life we are bound to go through all sorts of challenges, but at the end of the day, God gives us only what he knows we can handle. Eventhough at times it seems that there is no way we can face something, some inspiration will surely come when we tune in to God and continue being positive.

The camping trip, which was in fact a survival training was very eye-opening for me. It is good to sit back and reflect, but sometimes being 'hands-on' and realising things seems to be more effective.

After returning I was delighted to receive emails
from 3 good friends, whom I haven't been frequently in touch with. Just the occasional sporadic emails. SO it was quite a surprise to me to receive such an arrangement. What a good encouragement, indeed. I need some time to reply each one of them. But all I can say is, true friends really make my day.

Alright... enough of this. Back to work! =)
