At Changi International Airport

I am currently writing this at Changi International Airport Terminal 2. After 2 years, I finally get to visit Singapore just to visit friends without the hectic schedule of a conference or regional event.

When I arrived, I found it quite refreshing to catch up on old times with my god brother. Both of us have grown up apart but yet we have continued to be quite close together despite the many challenges each of us face. Perhaps we are still close due to the fact that we only meet once or twice a year... could it be that if we met more frequently, familiarity eventually breeds contempt?

Friends come and go, some leave footsteps in our hearts, some stomp all over it... but I thank God not this one. A real keeper.

Despite the short period of time I had in Singapore, just 3 days, I felt it was quite relaxing and I enjoyed the good company of friends here. It is good to look at things in a more carefree and relaxed outlook to things, a kind of magic filter I acquired from Melbourne. It was only this trip when I realised really how alike Singaporeans and Malaysians are, and how unfortunate it is that the two countries continue to be embroiled in petty disagreements.

I'm running out of time, I just felt like capturing my thoughts at this moment. I will resume posting a series of photos in the coming week. Bon voyage to myself I guess!
