DEAR ALL. Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky starting August.I have recently received a few emails regarding Mars coming close enough to Earth to look like a second moon. Unfortunately, while many are already expecting quite a spectacle, this is a grave misconception. The email is a hoax.It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will cultimate on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth.
Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons.
The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Share this with ur friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again...^_^

Mars will definitely increase in brightness and will eventually be brighter than Jupiter on October 4, but still not as bright as Venus. Mars will come closest to the Earth not on August 27 but on October 30 when its distance from us will be 69.44 million km between the two.
Seen from Earth, Mars will outshine everything in the night sky except Venus and the Moon.
