Unstoppable, indomitable!
Note: Photo Monday will lapse this week, as explained below...
Last night, while trying to do my Construction assignment, my notebook computer failed to start up. Apparently the screen is not communicating with the motherboard. Or vice versa. I thought it may have been a hard disk problem, but I later checked and found my hard disk to be in healthy condition. So I called HP, and they directed me to this DHL Depot in North Melbourne. I went to my lectures today (yes, mom and dad, I am a good boy), and later on dropped my computer off at DHL.
Apparently HP does not have a service centre in Melbourne, so DHL is going to send my notebook computer to Sydney to get it fixed.
I'm so happy with myself. I didn't get upset. Despite the fact that EVERYTHING is due next Wednesday, I was calm, cheerful. I did things in an orderly fashion without complaining about the computer or anything. My workload became heavier as a result, and there is some inconvenience to myself, but I have not exhausted all resources. I have at my disposal the computer labs at the university which open 24 hours a day.
I'm going to pull an all nighter tonight, its now 10pm, and I plan to finish my 1:20 drawings tonight. In the morning, my uncle will bring his spare notebook computer for me to use this week. Everything is manageable, if I discipline myself to stick to my schedule.
Well, that was the bad news.
The good news: I'm working in Melbourne next year as an architecture student and will be paid at Award rates. =)
Thank you God. Have a good week everyone.
